Welcome to My Class!
We're off to a great first grade year! I've enjoyed getting to know all my new students this week. They are a wonderful group of children! I'm excited to be teaching the new Common Core standards to them. They have already shown so much potential and enthusiasm for our story, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!
We have been setting up classroom routine's and procedures throughout the week. Our new "cubbies" arrived and I was able to put them together today. This will help us make sure all papers get home in a timely manner.
I apologize for not being at school on Friday. My asthma had been giving me fits all week. By late Thursday, it had gotten the best of me. I went to the doctor and got lots of medicine and rested Friday. I'm looking forward to being back at work on Monday!
Be on the lookout for my next post about homework :) I should have it up sometime tomorrow.
